The Prime Minister has said that India and China are working very hard to find a practical and pragmatic solution to the border problem. <br/><br/>Replying to a question at a press conference in Washington, Dr. Manmohan Singh said that both the countries recognise that this will take time. <br/><br/>He said, both the countries have agreed that pending the resolution of the border issue, peace and tranquility should be maintained along the line of control and by and large that is the situation that remains on the ground. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister said the economic content of their relationship has increased significantly and it is moving in the right direction. <br/><br/>Dr. Singh said that there are large Indian and Chinese investments in each other’s country. <br/><br/>He said that the two countries have also worked very closely at the Copenhagen Conference on Climate Change to organize their position. <br/><br/>Dr. Singh said that there is now a recognition in China that in multi-lateral issues, there is similarly of approach between India and China and that both the countries can gain by working together. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister will be meeting the Chinese President Hu Jintao in Brasilia on the sidelines of the BRIC summit.<br/>
