India and China have signed three MoUs including setting up Industrial Park in Gujarat. The three MoUs were signed in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The first MoU relates to the setting up of an industrial park in Gujarat. The second MoU is between between Guangzhao city and Gujarat for developing a model state.
The third MoU signed between Guangzhou city of China and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation relates to sister-city relations.
MoUs for Industrial Park, model state and sister cities will help to increase the cooperation between two countries in the field of economy, trade, health, science and technologies.
Chinese President Xi Jinping also impressed by special exhibition organized at his hotel showcasing the rich Buddhist heritage in Gujarat.
During the visit of Sabarmati Gandhi Ashram, Chinese President was showered with gifts of spinning wheel and books on Mahatma Gandhi.
Traditional Gujarati food and folk dances on the beautifully decorated Sabarmati River front were great experience for the Chinese President Xi Jinping and the first lady of China.
During the visit, closeness and warmth between the Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was quite visible- which reflected the promising future of two super powers of the sub-continent.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the Chinese President Xi Jinping and First Lady of China at the Hyatt Hotel in Ahmedabad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping held formal talks at the hotel.
Earlier, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, Governor O P Kohli, and senior cabinet ministers of the state welcomed the Chinese President at the Ahmedabad Airport. The Chinese President was accorded a traditional and warm welcome, along with the Guard of Honour.
Our Ahmedabad correspondent reports that Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited Sabarmati Ashram.
A cultural programme including Panchal region’s famous Hudo dance, Saurashtra’s Mer dance, Rathwa dance of tribals, the traditional Garba dance with earthen pots on head and Dangi dance was performed at the Sabarmati River Front.
