India and China on Thursday signed twelve agreements for expanding cooperation in trade and commerce, railways, health and culture.
The agreements were signed after delegation level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in New Delhi.
An MoU to open another route for Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage through Nathula in Sikkim was also inked. It will help reduce hardship and journey time to reach the holy place.
The other pacts included cooperation in audio visual co-production and establishing sister-city relationship between Mumbai and Shanghai.
An agreement envisaging investment of 20 billion dollar by China in India during next five years was also signed.
