The Commerce Minister Mr. Anand Sharma today urged India and China to work aggressively towards removing administrative bottlenecks and restrictive regulatory measures.
The Commerce Minister Mr. Anand Sharma, who met the Governor of Xinjiang Province, said that trade relations between the two countries are on course to achieve bilateral trade target of 100 billion US Dollars by 2015.
He raised the issue of India's trade deficit and called for striking a balance for the long term sustainable and harmonious development of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Mr. Sharma said that the area of drugs and pharmaceuticals is an important segment from India to diversify the trade basket. An MoU between the Government of Gujarat and a Chinese private Company was signed on the occasion.
This Company is proposing a FDI investment of 500 crore rupees green energy power project in its first phase.
The project is estimated to cost 2,500 crore rupees.
