India, China face threat from fundamentalist terrorism, but don't seem to agree on important issues: S Jaishankar

Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar today said India and China both face threat from fundamentalist terrorism, but they do not seem agree on important issues at critical international forum. <br/><br/>Speaking at the India-China Think Tanks' Forum in New Delhi, Mr Jaishankar said, though the two countries have a commitment to a more democratic world order, their actions in respect of the reform of the UN Security Council are in contrast to their approaches to usher in a more equitable international economic order. <br/><br/>He also said, the two nation should be supporting each other on climate issues. <br/><br/>Commenting on Indo-China relations over the years across different spheres, Mr Jaishankar said, the two sides have succeeded in building a substantial relationship that covers many political, economic, social and cultural facets. <br/><br/>He said, on border itself, they have generally established peace while agreeing on political parameters and guiding principles for a boundary settlement.
