India-China can managae differences: Menon

National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon has dismissed assertions that India and China cannot manage their differences. Pushing for greater bilateral engagement, Menon emphasised that they should work for it. He,however, admitted there were strong elements in the relationship between the two neighbours which had the potential to create instability.Menon observed that India has an overriding and strategic interest in making the relationship with China grow in a healthy manner. He said both the sides are sensitive to issues like Tibet and Kashmir and it is only a question of how skilled they are in managing it. He was talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi today.
