Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has said that China has a higher growth rate but India has values which are more important than development. <br/><br/>Addressing the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington he said, India has chosen the democratic path for development and would not like to deviate from it. Dr.Singh said that there is a certain amount of assertiveness by China lately, which has to be taken note of.<br/><br/>He said that India and China have boundary dispute but added that that the two countries are taking steps to solve it through dialogue.<br/>
