Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said India can stand out in the gloomy global economic situation if it continues with reforms and responsible economic planning. In an interview to PTI in Davos, Mr. Jaitley said Indian economy has shown resilience to defy global slowdown in 2001, 2008 and 2015 and it is now better equipped to face the situation. The Finance Minister is in Davos to attend World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting.He said oil, metals and commodity producing nations are all facing serious challenges which have led to global uncertainty. So, investors are being cautious. The currencies in most parts of the world have also been adversely impacted. However the impact on currency has been the least in India, he said.
