Union Minister for Food Processing Subodh Kant Sahay has said that growth prospectus in this sector in country will lead to reduction of wastage of agricultural produce. Speaking at the Business Forum “New Vistas in Food Processing” in New Delhi today, he said that India can achieve the second 'Green Revolution' sooner than expected as domestic and foreign direct investment to the food processing sector is on the rise. He said that a properly developed food and agro processing sector can make India a major global player giving rise to employment opportunities from landless labourers to highly skilled executives in the country.
