India calls for enhanced connectivity, unimpeded trade among SCO members

India today called for enhanced connectivity and unimpeded trade among Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, SCO, member states. <br/><br/>Indian Ambassador to China Vijay Gokhale said initiatives should be pursued in an inclusive and sustainable manner with due respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of all members. <br/><br/>He was speaking at the flag raising ceremony of India and Pakistan at the SCO headquarters in Beijing. <br/><br/>Mr Vijay Gokhale highlighted India's sovereignty concerns without directly referring to 50 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) being laid through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.<br/><br/>He said India would also like to deepen practical cooperation in its fight against terrorism and extremism.<br/>Indian and Pakistani flags were formally raised at the SCO headquarters today. <br/><br/>The two countries were formally admitted as members at Kazakhstan capital Astana at the SCO summit held on June 8-9.
