Vice President Hamid Ansari will leave for Mali capital, Bamako later today on the final leg of his two-nation visit to West Africa. Mr Ansari is currently in Lagos, the largest city and former capital of Nigeria.<br/><br/>During his stay in Mali, the Vice President will meet the country's President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita and Prime Minister Modibo Keita. He will also address the National Assembly before returning home on Saturday. <br/><br/>Earlier, India has called for adopting a Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism. Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari while delivering an address at the National Defence College in Nigerian capital Abuja yesterday, said, there is a need to restructure the international legal framework to counter the menace of terrorism as it has a global presence. Mr. Ansari said terrorism can only be defeated by organised international action.
