India call off Zimbabwe tour due to broadcasting, fatigue issues

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today called off India's proposed tour to Zimbabwe. According to media report, the Indian board has opted out of the tour due to broadcasting issues and fatigue factor.There were always a cloud of uncertainty over the tour due to the broadcast issue, which prompted Zimbabwe Cricket ( ZC ) to issue a a press release today that it may be postponed for next year. The release further added that it was hopeful of going ahead with India's tour and it was in constant contact with both the BCCI and Ten Sports to resolve the issues before the series.India are scheduled to play three ODIs and two T20 Internationals in Zimbabwe from July 10.ZC said Manase and CEO Wilfred Mukondiwa will discuss these issues with their BCCI counterparts on the sidelines of the ICC Annual Conference, which will be held in Bridgetown, Barbados, from June 22 to 26.
