India bundle out Sri Lanka for 183 on opening day of 1st Test at Galle

Spinner R. Ashwin bagged 6 wickets as India bundled out Sri Lanka for 183 on the opening day of first Test at Galle today. The home side had opted to bat first, but the Indian bowlers made a mockery of that decision, sending 5 of the Lankan batsmen packing for just 60. Skipper Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal resisted with a 79-run 6th wicket stand, but could not stop India from getting a strong position in the first test of the 3-match series. Ashwin finished with the figures of 6 for 46, while Amit Mishra bagged 2 wickets, and Varun Aaron and Ishant Sharma scalped one wicket each.
