Chief of Naval Staff Admiral RK Dhowan has said the country's dockyards, complete with indigenised technology and know-how, is building 46 vessels including submarines. Speaking to the media in Visakhapatnam today, the Admiral said the future of economic development and growth prospects of a seafaring country largely depends on its neighbouring blue waters. He said, the safety and security of the vast coastline of the country is vital for its development. <br/><br/>He said the President and Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh have extended all the support for organizing the fleet review so grandiosely. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be attending the fleet review and release a book on Indian Maritime Heritage brought out in English and Hindi versions.<br/>The Chief of Naval Staff also announced that women Navy Cadets would participate in the event from INS Mathai on that day.
