India break Sri Lanka's resistance on Day 4 of Colombo Test; near series win

In the Colombo Cricket Test, India has broken Sri Lankan resistance on day four as the host lost their 8 wickets and still trailing by 59 runs. India is near to win the series as they are leading the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Galle by 304 runs.Resuming their second innings from overnight score of 209 for 2, Sri Lanka were 380 when reports last came in.India had enforced a follow on after it bowled them out for a paltry 183 in the first innings. For India, Ravichandran Ashwin picked up his 26th five-wicket haul in Test cricket with a tally of five for 69 in the first innings.The Lankans have fought back in the second innings as Kusal Mendis and opener Karunaratne put on 191 runs for the second wicket. In the process, Mendis got his third Test century and was out for 110.Earlier, Kohli led side posted a mammoth 622 for 9 declared in their first innings.
