A memorandum of understanding was signed between India and Belgium today for the development and modernization of the Railways . The MoU was signed by the deputy Prime Minister of Belgium, Mr. Didier Reynders and the minister of Railways, Mr. Mukul Roy in New Delhi. The MoU will focus on the development of major railway stations to international standard so as to make them vibrant centres of the cities for commerce, entertainment and social space.
Speaking on the occasion, Railway Minister said that the companies owned by the Belgian government like Euro Station and Immostar have vast experience in field of development of stations.
