In the opening match of the Men's Asia Cup hockey tournament in Malaysia yesterday India hammered Oman 8-NIL. The Young striker Mandeep Singh netted a hat-trick for India. The winners of the tournament will be given automatic entry into next year's Hockey World Cup. After a rest day today, India will play title holders Korea in their 2nd match on August 26.
