Indian women entered the Ist division semi-final after blanking Macau, while their male counterpart outwitted Jordan to advance into the quarter final stage of the team division in the 19th Asian Table Tennis Championships, being played at Lucknow. While India routed Macao 3-0 in the Ist division quarter final stage, the other three teams, in the women's section, to make it to the semi-final were Korea, Malaysia and Thailand. All the matches were an one-sided affair with Macao paddlers threwing less challenges before the Indian players.
