In cricket, India defeated Sri Lanka by 141 runs in the 2nd One Day International match at Mohali today to level the 3 match series 1-1. The Opener was won by Sri Lanka by 7 wickets. Chasing a victory target of 393 set by India today, Sri Lanka were all out at 251 for 8. Angelo Mathews top scored with 111 for Sri Lanka while Yuzuvendra Chahal claimed 3 wickets for India. Earlier, put into bat, India scored 392 for 4 in 50 overs which is the highest score by any team in Mohali. Opening the innings with Shikhar Dhavan, skipper Rohit Sharma with his unbeaten 208, got his name etched in history books to become the only player to score three double centuries in ODIs. Shikhar Dhawan scored 68 off 69 balls and Shreyas Iyer hit 88 off 70 balls. For Sri Lanka, Thisara Perera took 3 wickets giving away 80 runs. The third and final match of the ODI series will be played at Visakhapatnam on Sunday. The visitors will also play 3 match Twenty 20 series against India, with the first T20 match on the 20th of this month at Cuttack.
