India beat Poland 2-0 in Women's Hockey World League Rd 2

In the FIH Women's Hockey World League Round 2 competition, Indian women notched up their second consecutive win with a 2-0 victory over Poland at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi yesterday. Vandana Katariya and Poonam Rani scored a goal each for India in their second league match. The home side had mauled Ghana 13-0 in their opening match on Saturday. In other matches yesterday, Kazakhstan thrashed Singapore 4-0, while Malaysia defeated Russia 3-0 and Thailand beat Ghana 3-1. Today is rest day. India will take on Thailand tomorrow while Ghana will face Poland. In other matches tomorrow, Kazakhstan will next play Russia while Singapore will face Malaysia.
