India beat Pakistan to win Kabaddi World Cup 2010

Playing an inspiring game, India won the first World Cup Kabaddi tournament-2010 defeating Pakistan in the final match at Guru Nanak stadium at Ludhiana and lifted the inaugural Pearls World Cup Kabaddi Punjab 2010. Indian team scored 58 points while Pakistan team could score only 24 points. A close tussle was expected in the final. But Indian players put up a sterling display in all departments of the game and mounted pressure from the beginning. The home team thought that attack was the best defence and their game plan met with success. Besides India and Pakistan, Britain, USA, Iran, Italy, Canada and Australia also participated in this nine nation Kabaddi World Cup. Indian team got Rs 1 crore as prize money, while runners-up Pakistan got Rs 50 lakh.
