India beat Kangaroos in 2nd ODI at Vizag by 5 wkts; India leads 1-0

India beat Australia by five wickets in the second ODI of the three-match cricket series at Visakhapatnam last night. Chasing the victory target of 290 runs, India scored 292 for 5 in 48.5 overs. Virat Kohli hit 118 while Suresh Raina made 71 not out. For visitors Clint McKay took 3 wickets for 54 and John Hastings had 2 for 46. Earlier, Australia made 289 for 3 in stipulated 50 overs. First match of the series was washed out without a single ball being bowled in Kochi.It was a hot and humid evening in Visakhapatnam which was not congenial for the batsmen to play a long innings. Despite that youngster Virat Kohli showed his class and smashed a breezy ton. He had also suffering from severe joint pain due to cram. Team India got many advantages from this win. Firstly, the match provide a real test of bench strength of the team which is very important ahead of the mega event, the World Cup 2010. Secondly, the match had given an ideal platform to the dashing left-hander Yuvraj Singh to resume his dream run again.
