India thrash England by six wickets in the third One-Dayer at Nottingham on Saturday to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-match series. Chasing 228 runs for a win, India achieved the target in 43 overs, losing only four wickets. Ambati Rayudu slammed an unbeaten 64. The other notable scorers were Ajinkya Rahane – 45, Suresh Raina – 42 and Virat Kohli – 40. Earlier, sent in to bat, the hosts were dismissed for 227 in their fifty overs. Ravichandran Ashwin was the most successful bowler with three wickets for 39 runs. While the first ODI at Bristol was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rains, India won the second game at Cardiff by 133 runs. The fourth One-Dayer will be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Tuesday.
