India have set a victory target of 275 runs for England, in the first Cricket One-day International at Riverside ground in Chester-le-Street. Put in to bat, India made 274 for seven in the stipulated 50 overs. Opener Parthiv Patel was the top-scorer with 95. Earlier, England captain Alastair Cook won the toss and elected to bowl. Sachin Tendulkar is not playing the match due to a toe injury.
