India defeated China 4-1 in their last pool match to enter the quarterfinals of the Junior Men's Asia Hockey Cup tournament at Kuantan, Malaysia yesterday. This was Indian colts third consecutive win in the tournament as they had earlier defeated Japan and hosts Malaysia and finished top of Pool A.For India, Manpreet Singh Jr scored twice through penalty corner conversions while Harmanpreet Singh and Ajit Pandey scored one goal a piece. China's lone goal was scored by Haifeng Guo. India will now meet Oman, the bottom-placed team of Pool B in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
