India and Bangladesh are working towards reaching an interim agreement on sharing the waters of Teesta river. Various issues relating to the interim agreement was the focus of the Secretary-level discussions between the two countries which took place in Dhaka on Monday morning. Mr. Dhruv Vijay Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources led the Indian delegation while his counterpart Shaikh Md. Wahid-uz-Zaman, the Bangladesh delegation. AIR Dhaka Correspondent reports that the two sides had comprehensive discussions on the proposed interim agreement which according to the sources had immensly helped in narrowing down the differences between the two sides.
