India and Bangladesh will sign agreements on mutual legal assistance, transfer of sentenced persons and on combating international terrorism, organised crime and illegal drug trafficking during the visit of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Mrs. Hasina Sheikh to India from Monday. <br/><br/>A Memorandum of Understanding will be signed on Comprehensive Cooperation in the area of power including grid connectivity. A Line of Credit for Bangladesh is also expected to be signed during the visit. The Bangladesh Prime Minister will also be conferred with the prestigious Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development for the year 2009. <br/><br/>Forward movement is also expected in addressing outstanding issues including those related to border dispute, sharing of water and connectivity. According to highly placed sources, a great deal of goodwill has been generated in the last one year with the new Bangladesh government, there is greater synergy and a commitment on both sides for a forward looking, stable, durable and long term relationship. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent says that the visit is being considered significant in taking the relationship between the two neighbors to a higher trajectory.
