India-Bangladesh start World Cup fight

Bangladesh have won the toss and chose to field first aganist India in the opening match of the ICC Cricket World Cup at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. This first Group-B encounter is a day-night affair. Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni said it will be a good contest and his team would like to begin their campaign on a winning note. All India Radio will broadcast live commentary alternately in Hindi and English on the match from 1:30 PM onwards on its Rajdhani and FM Gold Channels. The commentary will also be available on additional frequencies DLS-8 and DLC-10. During the commentary period, News Bulletins on FM Gold will stand cancelled and major bulletins at 2 PM, 2:30 PM, 8:45 PM and 9 PM will be broadcast on FM Rainbow network.
