India and Bangladesh have signed a historic protocol on land boundary agreement following the talks between Prime Minister Dr. Mahmohan Singh and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.The two Prime Ministers also signed a framework agreement on cooperation for development between the two countries.In a joint statement, after signing two agreements, Dr. Manmohan Singh said that signing of the protocol on land boundary will resolve all issues relating to un-demarcated boundary areas, enclaves and land under adverse possession.Dr. Manmohan Singh also announced that India will permit duty-free access to 46 textile tariff lines from Bangladesh to Indian market.Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina described the meeting as a historic moment in bilateral relations and also added that the framework agreement on cooperation and development, is a visionary document that looks not just on the reality of today but also the potentials of future.
