The first meeting of the India-Bangladesh Sub-group on Tipaimukh Hydroelectric project will begin in New Delhi today. The two-day meeting is expected to formulate the terms of reference for a joint study to examine all issues related to the project including the proposal for joint participation in the project. The meeting is being held in pursuance of the decisions taken during the last Foreign Office Consultations between India and Bangladesh held in New Delhi last month.
