India and Bangladesh are likely to sign an extradition treaty during Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh’s visit to Dhaka from Tuesday. The inking of the treaty would pave the way for Bangladesh to hand over Anup Chetia to India, which will be important for the going on peace process in insurgency infested Assam.In an exclusive interview to All India Radio Shambu Singh, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, looking after North East matters, said Chetia group is supporting the peace process in the State.
