India, Bangladesh Joint Boundary working group to meet next week

The India- Bangladesh Joint Boundary working group will meet in New Delhi next week. The two day meeting is scheduled to begin on November 10th. The two sides had decided to convene the meeting of the joint boundary working group to look at ways to resolve the outstanding border issues during the visit of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to India in January this year. In the joint statement issued during the visit both the Prime Ministers had agreed to convene the Joint Boundary Working Group to help in taking the process of resolving issues related the boundary forward. The two leaders had also agreed to comprehensively address all outstanding land-boundary issues keeping in view the spirit of the 1974 Land Boundary Agreement.
