India and Bangladesh have signed an agreement for a joint border management plan following the Home Minister-level talks in Dhaka today. The agreement was signed by Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) Raman Srivastava and Director General of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) Major General Anwar Hussain in the presence of Home Minister Mr. P Chidambaram and Bangladesh Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun. Addressing a joint press conference with his Bangladesh counterpart after the talks, Mr. Chidambaram said the agreement signed between the BSF and BGB would help both sides in better border management. He said that all the issues related to outstanding land boundary matters were reviewed. The Home Minister said he was hopeful that a comprehensive solution would be found to all issues related to the undemarcated boundary areas, enclaves, and land under adverse possession during Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's visit to Bangladesh in September.Bangladesh Home Minister Sahara Khatun said New Delhi had assured to nab the fugitive killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib-ur-Rahman if they are hiding in India.
