<br/>India and Bangladesh have agreed to install underground electric cables through the Tin Bigha Corridor from March 1 this year for power supply to Dahogram and Angarpota . The agreement was reached at a District Magistrate level meeting between the two countries near the Tinbigha Corridor. District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner of Lalmonirhat , Alauddin Fakir led the five-member Bangladesh delegation while the District Magistrate of Cooch Behar led the five-member Indian delegation in the meeting. A private business firm of Bangladesh will set up the cable network by March 16th. India had agreed to facilitate power supply to Dahogram and Angarpota during the visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to India in January this year.
