India bagged 9 medals – 4 Silver and 5 Bronze – in the 7th World Junior Wushu championships held in Brasilia, Brazil. Babulu, Saleem, Savita and Rohit won Silver medals in the Sanshou discipline, with Himanshu, Shruti, and Janhvi claiming Bronze medals in the same category. Karanjit Taijiquan won two Bronze medals in Taolu discipline.

Wushu or Chinese Kungfu is a hard and complete martial art, which is also a full-contact sport.
