India have opened their campaign in the Asian Youth Weightlifting Championships by winning a gold and two silver medals. Fortyeight kg woman lifter Matsa Santoshi bagged all the three medals on the first day of the event in Tashkent, Uzbekistan today.Santoshi won gold in snatch with a lift of 68kg and added a silver in clean and jerk with an effort of 88kg. Her total lift of 156kg fetched her another silver.India are being represented by seven lifters in the Asian Youth Championships which ends on April 11.On April 12, the Asian Junior Championships begins at the same venue and 12 lifters will represent India in the event.
