India on Wednesday drew their match with a much stronger Australia in the Lal Bahadur Shastri Under 21 women's Hockey Tournament. At Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in New Delhi Indian girls stopped their much higher ranked opponents at a goalless draw. Australia got six penalty corners while India got 5. However, both the teams failed to convert any of these into goal. Indian defender Jaspreet Kaour was declared player of the match. India is now at the top of the points table with 4 points while Germany and New Zealand have 3 points each. Australia has been able to garner only 1 point till now. India faces world no. 6 Germany on Friday.
