India has assured UAE of its continued support to their initiatives in the field of education. Addressing Indian students at the Dubai international academic city in Dubai in the UAE, the President Mrs.Pratibha Devisingh Patil said that it is committed to the concept of borderless knowledge.Emphasising that education is the fastest vehicle for enabling socio-economic mobility and change,Mrs. Patil said,India seeks to realize its demographic dividend in a scenario where young persons will outnumber the old for many years to come. Mentioning the Right to Education Act and Nalanda University Act , she exuded confidence that the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology will bridge the gaps between urban, mofussil and rural India ensuring that every scholar, irrespective of location will be able to access the best academic resources available in India.Mrs.Patil will inaugurate the Indian Trade Exhibition Centre at Sharjah today in the presence of Member of the Supreme Council of UAE and Ruler of Sharjah, Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.She will also interact with captains of industry.AIR correspondent reports, that being a government joint venture, this will be the world's first of its kind of trade centre.
