India assures B’desh to resolve all land border issues soon

India has assured Bangladesh that all land border issues between the two countries will be resolved at the earliest. In an exclusive interview to the News Services Division of All India Radio Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad said that the message was conveyed to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by him.

Mrs. Hasina had come to see the beginning of Round the clock access between Dahagram and Angarpota villages in Bangladesh through the Indian side of Tin Bigha Corridor on Wednesday.

The occasion was marked by the presence of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her several cabinet colleagues while the Indian side was represented Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad and Minister of State for Home Mr. Jitendra Singh.

Mr. Azad said that the round clock access between these two villages was assured by the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh when he visited Dhaka last month.
