India assured of two Squash medals; Men's Hockey team playing Sri Lanka

On the second day of the Incheon Asian Games, India bagged a Bronze medal in the Men's 10-metre Air Pistol Team event.Indian marksmen trio Jitu Rai, Samresh Jung and Prakash Nanjappa finished third on the podium this morning.About the latest on medal hopes and the games, AIR correspondent reports, squash has raised hope for minimum two Bronze medals now.In the Men's Singles event Sourav Ghoshal defeated Pakistan's Nasir Iqbal 3-1 in the five setter game to be placed in last 4, thus guaranteeing India a medal.Women's singles no brainer had a bronze for India as an all Indian quarter final match was played.Dipika Pallikal registered victory over compatriot Joshana Chinappa 3-2 in an evenly poised contest.In any case, India is assured of medal in women's singles as well.After a gruelling Quarter Final match against Thailand Indian women's Badminton team will take on the hosts in semis.They have already assured a bronze but the quest for a Gold or aSilver is on.Their match will begin at 3:30 PM. This will be their first medal in 28 years.In Tennis, the Indian Men's Team progressed into the quarterfinals.It defeated Nepal in the second round.India will also be seen in action in Basketball, Football, Handball and Cycling today.The Men's Hockey team is playing Sri Lanka in a pool match.India was leading by 2-Nil.The medals table is lead by China followed by Hosts and is India is placed on 7th position.
