India has asked Pakistan to stop unprovoked firing and shelling at Line of Control and International border if it wants peace on border. In a stern warning, Defence Minister Arun Jaitley said, if Islamabad persists with its adventurism, India's forces will make cost of adventurism unaffordable for it.
Commending armed forces for their job in face of unprovoked attacks from Pakistan, the Defence Minister said, India is not an aggressor but will do whatever is required to defend its territory. Mr Jaitley told media in New Delhi this morning that there is a connection between firing and infiltration as Pakistan uses firing as a cover to let militants infiltrate into the Indian territory.
He said, Pakistan is making efforts to precipitate tension. He also asked leaders of political parties including Congress and NCP to understand the reality before making any comments.
