India asks Pakistan to deal with the entire spectrum of terrorism

India today asked Pakistan to contain terror emanating from its soil and said conscious fostering of terrorism from across the border is not helping the bilateral ties.<br/><br/>Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju said, Pakistan had failed miserably by differentiating between good and bad terrorists.<br/><br/>He also hoped, the government of Pakistan will take fruitful action to contain terrorism. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi, Mr Raju said, Islamabad has to deal with the entire spectrum of terrorism in an even-handed manner. Noting that Pakistan had to realise terrorism it fostered affected it as much as India, the Minister said, both nations stand to lose. He said, the military and the power structure in Pakistan must realise this truth and act on it in a responsible way.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Pakistan High Commissioner Shahid Malik today met Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and discussed issues related to the February 25 Indo-Pak meeting.<br/><br/>Mr Malik met Mrs Rao after his return from Islamabad where he held consultations with the Pakistan government on the forthcoming meeting between the Foreign Secretaries of the two countries. After a 14-month hiatus, India on January 28 offered to hold talks with Pakistan in New Delhi and Islamabad accepted the offer last Friday.
