India, Argentina ink joint declaration to strengthen co-op in agricutural sector

India and Argentina have signed a joint declaration to strengthen technical and professional cooperation in the agricutural sector between the two countries. Union Minister for Agricuture, Mr Sharad Pawar after signing the agreement with his Argentininan counterpart in New Delhi said Argentina has agreed to provide necessary assistance to raise pulses production in the country. Mr Pawar also said that the country will increase its import of pulses and oilseeds from Argentina. Stating that India is one of the leading Pharmaceuticals producing country, Mr Pawar asked Argentina to remove its restrictions on import of Pharmaceuticals in order to promote bi lateral trade.
