Technology cooperation featured very prominently in the discussions between US President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Vinay Mohan Kwatra informed this in a special briefing in Washington D.C. He said India and US have identified around 25 areas of technology partnership in the joint statement as a direct result of the discussion between the two leaders.<br />''<br />''Mr. Kwatra informed that the Prime Minister highlighted the need for the international community to recognize that the people who sponsor and support terrorism continue to pose a serious challenge to the safety and security of societies and have to be very firmly dealt with.<br />''<br />''The Foreign Secretary also informed that the two countries have agreed that the US will start the process to open two new consulates in India – one in Ahmedabad and one in Bengaluru, while India will open its consulates in Seattle and two other places in the US.<br />
