India and Saudi Arabia agree on multiple-entry visa

India and Saudi Arabia have decided to issue six months’ multiple-entry visas to business people of each other's countries. The decision came at the 8th meeting of the Indo-Saudi Joint Commission which concluded in Riyadh last night. The Deputy Chief of mission of Indian Embassy at Riyadh told AIR Dubai correspondent today that the new scheme would enhance business visits from both sides and boost bilateral economic and commercial exchanges. <br/><br/>Indian Finance Minister Mr.Pranab Mukherjee and the Saudi Commerce and Industry Minister Mr. Abdullah Zainal Alireza led the discussions. <br/><br/>Earlier, the Indian Finance Minister met Saudi King Abdullah in Riyadh on the sidelines of Indo-Saudi Joint Commission meeting. Bilateral, regional and international and multilateral issues including G-20 and climate change figured in the discussions. He also held separate discussions with his counterpart Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf and Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal on matters of mutual interest.
