India and Pakistan today exchanged the lists of nationals lodged in the jails of each other's country which is part of routine exercise done twice a year in January and July under the provisions of the Agreement on Consular Access between the two countries. <br/><br/>External Affairs Ministry, in a press statement, reiterated its commitment to address the humanitarian matters, including those pertaining to prisoners and fishermen in each other's country. <br/><br/>It said India is awaiting confirmation from Pakistan of nationality of those in India's custody who are eligible for release and repatriation. It is also awaiting consular access from Islamabad to those Indian nationals in Pakistan's custody for whom it has so far not been provided, including Hamid Nehal Ansari and Kulbhushan Jadhav.<br/><br/>Both countries also exchanged the list of nuclear installations and facilities covered under the agreement on the Prohibition of Attack against Nuclear Installations. <br/><br/>The agreement provides that the two countries inform each other of nuclear installations and facilities on the first of January every year. This is the twenty sixth consecutive exchange of such lists between the two countries.
