India and Malaysia sign agreement

India and Malaysia have signed an agreement to implement Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement, CECA, in July next year. The two countries have also signed agreements and Memorandum of Understandings in the areas of Information Technology and Services, Traditional Medicine, Cultural Exchanges and Research and Development. The agreements were signed after extensive talks between Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and his Malaysian counter part Mohammad Najib Razak. A joint statement on the framework for strategic partnership between India and Malaysia was issued at the end of the talks.
