India and Germany have decided to intensify their cooperation in the area of environment and sustainable development. A MoU was signed to this effect in New Delhi on Monday. Addressing media after signing the pact, Minister of State for Agriculture K. V. Thomas said that one of the components of this cooperation is in the area of consumer protection. He said the scope of the joint working group has now been extended which include the subject of consumer protection also.
