India and Bangladesh to work together on startups, cyber security and interactive digital payment systems: High Commissioner Doraiswami

The High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami has said that the relationship between India and Bangladesh will be further strengthened by working together in areas like startups, cyber security and Interoperable Digital Payment System (IDPS).<br />''High Commissioner Doraiswami held a meeting with ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak in Dhaka yesterday to review the progress of the ongoing Hightech parks and other ICT related projects at the Bangladesh Hi-tech park authority.<br />''<br />''State Minister of ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that the proposal for implementation of the IDPS has already been sent to the planning ministry. Both the countries have agreed to set up Bangladesh-India Edutainment Centre in 64 districts of Bangladesh with financial assistance from India. They have also agreed to further take forward the startup-exchange programme.<br />''<br />''Minister Zunaid Palak said that Bangladesh needs close cooperation with a friendly country like India in the field of ICT, digital transactions and start-ups to move on the path of establishing a smart Bangladesh.
