India and Australia- Converging Relationship: Crean

Australian trade minister, Mr. Simon Crean, has said there is a huge convergence of interests between India and Australia that includes Doha Round of talks in WTO, common approach towards G-20, climate change and regional relationship in Asia. Mr. Crean who is on an official visit to country to attend Joint ministerial meeting, was addressing a seminar in New Delhi today. He said his visit aimed at adding more substance to the strategic relationship with India. <br/><br/>Mr. Crean identified four areas that offer huge challenges and these included energy security, water management, urban management and food security. He identified agriculture, education, services, mining, water management, urban development and infrastructure as areas for cooperation between India and Australia .
